I believe school attendance should be mandatory up until high school in order to give students the freedom to make their own choice. They're becoming adults and need to begin making their own choices and if that choice is to not go to school then its their problem. I chose up to high school because if they choose not to go to high school they at least received a basic education, enough to help them in a minimum wage job and enough to teach them how to be a better person. I they make the choice to miss out on school  then its their problem when they can't provide for themselves. If school isn't mandatory it will teach students of how life will be after high school and they'll learn the consequences.
